About Bear

Bear’s Story

So glad you stopped by for a visit! I’m a style strategy coach and personal branding expert committed to helping you find your sartorial voice. If you’re an executive, a community leader, a mom, or all of the above, I’ve walked in your shoes and understand your needs and challenges.

Over the course of my career, I’ve been an entrepreneur, as co-founder and chief operating officer of The Patent & License Exchange, a $40 million Internet company; a media relations advisor and speechwriter, as Communications Director to the Chairman of Mitsubishi Electronics; and a marketing executive, as Vice President of the Technology Division of the global marketing and communications firm Fleishman-Hillard. I know what it's like to have the need to look and feel confident and competent in a highly competitive business environment.

Mid career, I earned an MBA from the University of Southern California and AA from The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising Los Angeles adding to my BA in English Language & Literature from The University of Chicago. These academic pursuits helped me understand and integrate the languages of business and the world with the mechanics of fashion and style to help women enhance their personal power through strategic dressing.

As part of my journey, I have also been an active community partner. From my participation on the board of Pittsburgh Public Theater and the National Council of Jewish Woman, to my most recent involvement on the board of the not-for-profit educational company, TALK, The New Sex Ed, when I get involved in supporting an organization, I make a 100% personal commitment.

My greatest accomplishment to date, however, is being the MOM of the best daughter in the universe. One part Albert Einstein, one part Steven Colbert, and one part Kim Possible, she is my greatest contribution to making the world a better place. I give my husband and best friend of 40 plus years half the credit on this one.

In 2002, when our daughter was two, I envisioned a second career. One that would allow me to be MOM while leveraging my corporate marketing experience to help women manage their own personal brands. And so my style strategy business was launched.

I believe that what we wear and how we show ourselves to the world speaks volumes before we ever say a word. My mission is to help you tell the story you want the world to hear. I look forward to helping you find your authentic sartorial voice. One that fuels your confidence and ultimately elevates both your earning power and personal joy.
